The curriculum of Corpus Christi Catholic School exists within a total Christ-centered environment. This environment enables the community to live and model Catholic values. We believe in the dignity and uniqueness of each individual. Therefore, we strive to provide a curriculum that supports the development of the whole person; mind, heart and spirit. We believe that all learning experiences in our school form students in Christ to become life-long learners and productive citizens.
Our elementary curriculum has a focus on STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) through an inquiry-based learning approach. This method of teaching and learning encourages intellectual engagement and fosters deep understanding through the development of a hands-on and research-based disposition towards teaching and learning. Students in the Elementary grades are taught the following subjects daily: religion, language arts (including reading, writing, grammar and spelling), mathematics, science, and social studies. Spanish, computer, library, art, music, and PE are offered weekly. Students also attend Mass weekly.
Corpus Christi Catholic School offers an Enrichment Center, staffed by a certified Montessori teacher, who works closely with classroom teachers. The Center is available to address the special needs of students with identified learning differences, to motivate students that are presently working on grade level, and to offer additional challenge for students who are academically advanced. Students work one-on-one with the teacher or in small groups. There is an additional charge for Enrichment Center sessions, which is determined by the number of sessions a child attends each week.
